First off you need exposure on the internet and creating a website from zero can be very frustrating especially for those who have no experience on website building and if you want a decent product you need to hire someone to do it for you. The easiest way and the fastest way to have exposure on the internet is to create a blog which only takes a couple of minutes to create without to much computer knowledge.

Blogger.com and WordPress.com are the two most popular blogging platforms on the
net. I prefer to use wordpress because it gives you more options and you can make it very unique to your own style. Blogger.com is also a very good blogging platform but it has limited templates and it may not look as personalized as you may want it. To create a blog all you need is to open an account and create your blog, you will first have the default template which may not look to nice but if you Google word press templates you will find there are hundreds of templates out there to choose from. Some templates may be very complicated to use others may be very easy and simple; I advise you take your time to find the right template that will fit your needs.

Once you have your template and you have installed it into your blog then you need to personalize it with widgets and additions that you may find on the admin section of your blog. Plug ins are a very good way to make your blog unique but you will need to have your blog hosted and pay a few dollars, it is up to you to do it but you don’t have to.

Once your blog is ready you need to start posting, writing about your topic or niche. Make it unique content so you can find your blog on the search engines like Google, MSN or Yahoo. The more you post the more exposure you will have on the net.

Time to add Google Adsense to your blog and start making extra cash. Open an account with Google adsense which will take you a few minutes. Once done set up the Adsense code to be inserted into your blog. When setting up your adsense code I suggest you use text ads vice image ads, statistically text ads bring in more clicks which translates into money a lot faster than image ads. Place a banner 468 X 60 on top of your blog, place a banner on the side of your blog. Make sure the font, the colors and the background of your ads are the same as your blog so that way the ads appear as though they are part of your content, viewers tend to click on ads that have the same look as the content rather than those that stand out with different colors.

Once you have your code insert it into your blog via the admin section in your blog.

These are very simple steps on creating a blog and adding Google Adsense to it, it is possible to make money on the net and you may have to expand from this knowledge to get your desired goals but these steps can be the foundation to building an online business that works for you.
